What is Free Jump Zone for Trampoline Park

Created on 09.02
The free-jump zone is an essential part of a commercial trampoline park. It is formed by many individual trampoline mats linking together to form a huge, open and fun jumping area. The key design concept of this area is to combine athletics with entertainment, so that the jumpers can challenge the gravity in a relatively safe way. It is designed as the basic area to bounce, running and simple stunts for everyone to enjoy and to get used to the jumping bed as it is the most popular area to start the jump for all the jumpers.

1.Component Analysis.

1.1.Trampoline Frame

A qualified free-jump area satisfying modern safety and performance requirement is a comprehensive job formed by several finely designed components. It is formed by a load bearing frame made of Q345 high strength steel. The height of this frame is usually designed to be ≥80cm. Such height will provide enough space for the trampoline mat to be depressed. It will offer enough cushion when jumpers land. It will also be convenient for routine maintenance and inspection underneath.

1.2.Trampoline Mat

The key element of the jumping is formed by the trampoline mat and the trampoline spring. The typical width of the single-module trampoline mat is normally determined 1.8 M, the inclined trampoline mat is 1.98 M, and the professional zone is 2.13 M, The length is adjustable according to the design and the requirements of the trampoline park. The jump mat is woven by high strength polypropylene (PP)(Static load 600kg, dynamic load 136KG). The edge of the mat is reinforced by heavy duty nylon webbing. Galvanized steel V rings (triangle rings) are attached to the nylon webbing at regular intervals of about 15cm which are the attachment points of the springs. The design of the spring arrangement is carefully calculated and normally one high performance spring is attached to each V-ring as the exception for the corner V-rings, it should be attached to two springs to ensure the structural strength and the stress distribution. Taking the square trampoline mat of 2.1 x 2.1 meters as the usual example, there will be totally 68 springs attached to the trampoline mat.

1.3.Trampoline Safety Pad

Covering the steel frame and springs is the trampoline safety pad(soft pad) which is the last barrier to protect users. It is padded with high density EPE (Expanded Polyethylene) and covered with 4.5mm waterproof PVC vinyl. In accordance with the safety standards of the association of the industry, the range of the thickness of the safety pad is regulated to be between 5-7cm. The design of the thickness of the safety pad ensures the performance of good impact absorption to sufficiently avoid the contact of accidental users with the hard floor.

2..How to Play.

The main game for the free-jump zone is free-form jumping. Bounce to your heart's content on the huge matrix of trampolines and feel the fun of jumping from mat to mat as you leap into the air.In addition to simply jumping vertically, most free-jump areas also have inclined trampoline walls running along the perimeter of the area. Jumpers can use these inclined walls for more exciting Slam Dunk and wall-walking. The area provides a space for creative and safe self-expression, and is perfectly suited for simple jumps, fitness activities and playing with friends.

3.Safety

Despite the fun of jumping, your own safety must always come first. In order to protect your own and others' safety, visitors must abide by the safety regulations of the facility as a prerequisite to performing jumps. First, observe the rule of "One Person on One Mat" at all times. Do not have multiple jumpers on the same mat. This will greatly reduce the risk of accidents caused by failure to distribute the jump force evenly. When jumping, always be mindful of your surroundings and maintain a safe distance from other jumpers to avoid bumping into each other. Jumpers must know their own limits and never perform any maneuvers requiring flipping, even if they do so without prior training. All advanced moves must be performed under the guidance and instruction of a professional coach. When landing, land stably on two feet or on your seat/back. If you lose your balance, never use your hands to break the fall on the mat. Breaking this instinctive habit will prevent the most common and serious wrist injury. Last but not least, you must know that the padded walkway surrounding the trampolines is for passing through only. Jumping or Pausing on it is strictly prohibited.
